The Role — Customer Solutions Architect

As a Customer Solutions Architect at Optable, you’ll play a pivotal role in reshaping a multi-billion-dollar industry that’s rapidly evolving due to shifting privacy regulations and technological transformations.

This role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement. You will design and implement solutions that seamlessly integrate with client systems, drive measurable business outcomes, and ensure customers maximize their return on investment (ROI) from Optable’s products.

Additionally, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients — leading technical initiatives, providing hands-on technical support, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.

The position is based in Montreal, with flexibility for remote candidates across Canada and the USA.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design, Integration, and Implementation

  • Architect, design, and implement custom solutions that align with client objectives and deliver clear business value and ROI.
  • Build data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate actionable insights and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Propose and develop proofs of concept to address specific customer needs, accelerating product adoption and reducing time to value.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Act as the primary technical support contact for assigned clients, ensuring rapid response and resolution of issues.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts, diagnose problems, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver timely fixes.
  • Document and maintain technical support processes, ensuring scalable and efficient client assistance.

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the key technical liaison between product teams and clients, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and ROI-driven.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on how to best integrate and utilize Optable’s products to maximize value.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap decisions based on customer feedback and emerging market needs.

Customer-Facing Communication & Initiative Leadership

  • Act as a technical leader during client engagements, driving discussions and aligning stakeholders around solutions that deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language to support informed decision-making.
  • Foster trust-based relationships with clients by proactively identifying opportunities to optimize results and maximize ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to advocate for customer needs and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Share findings from data analysis and customer engagements to influence product enhancements and drive business strategy.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or a similar role within data-focused advertising platforms, adtech, or SaaS environments.
  • Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in systems design, integration, and problem-solving within complex environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and the ability to manage and manipulate large datasets effectively.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau) to deliver compelling insights and demonstrate ROI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred; AWS or Azure a plus).
  • Background in data engineering, data science, or software development is an asset.
  • Experience with Javascript programming. Experience with Go or Python programming is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-driven solutions.
  • Experience building AI agents, designing prompts, or integrating generative AI into client-facing workflows.
  • Understanding of how AI can enhance adtech workflows, data analysis, and privacy-first solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to confidently lead customer-facing technical discussions and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset and a strong focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, thrive amid ambiguity, and drive results in dynamic settings.
  • Passion for solving complex problems and continuously improving processes.
