Security Operations Specialist (SecOps / DevSecOps)

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud-Native Security Implementation:

• Design, architect, review and implement security solutions targeted towards cloud native environments such as AWS, Google Cloud…
• Ensure robust cloud infrastructure security and compliance.

Incident Response and Remediation:

• Monitor security alerts and notifications.
• Conduct detailed investigations to discern false positives from genuine intrusion attempts.
• Implement immediate remediation strategies to address security incidents.
• Continuously improve incident response protocols and procedures such as remediation, reporting and disclosure.

Managing Security Tooling in a startup environment:

• Own and manage a suite of security tools such as SIEMs, EDRs, PAMs, MDMs and Google Workspace.
• Ensure and iterate on configuration and maintenance to ensure company wide security

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with various teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
• Provide security insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Learning and Adaptation:

• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Adapt and evolve security strategies to mitigate emerging risks.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in SecOps or DevSecOps roles, preferably in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated success managing IAM, SSH, AD or other authentication systems
• Demonstrable, working-level knowledge of at least one of: Terraform, Python, Golang..
• Experience in incident response and remediation, with a track record of effectively responding to and remediating security incidents.
• Proficiency in managing security tools for Apple devices (MDM, EDR).
• Familiarity with threat analysis (macOS a plus)

• Familiarity with program analysis tools, behavior (IDA/Ghidra/Hopper) and capabilities. 
• Understanding of the threat landscape, tactics, techniques and procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability analysis, exploitation a plus.

• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a VC-backed startup environment.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
